Daisy's Horrific Past

Daisy is getting spade today. One of the last steps she needs to take to leave her old life in a puppy mill. Daisy was living in a cage so small that she could not stand up. She came to the Philadelphia PSPCA after a raid on the Almost Heaven dog kennel in Upper Milford Township, Lehigh County in Pennsylvania. According to WFMZ channel 69 "Skip Eckhardt [the mill's owner] performed illegal surgical procedures on the animals himself." This man has a long history of abuse which can be seen here. According to CBS3 - "The bodies of 65 dogs were also discovered inside the kennel's freezer." the story was also reported by CNN, FOXnews, Blogspot




Apparently he was charged and had his licence revoked on October 3rd. "In an unusually swift action, the state Department of Agriculture revoked Eckhart's kennel license yesterday, which means he can no longer keep more than 25 dogs on his property. " This man should not be allowed to ever own another dog or animal in his life.
