Daisy At Home 1st 24 Hours

The SPCA Vet said Daisy's teeth aged her at about a year and a half. Do to her size and puppy like behavior I age her at about 10 months. From what I know, severe malnutrition will age the teeth of a dog. When I picked up Daisy from the SPCA on Thursday evening, one of the vets, who was at the "Almost Hell" raid, told me that she looked noticeably better since her arrival date (October 1st). She had gained 2-3 lbs while being at the SPCA. I was a bit shocked since, as seen in the first picture, she is still very thin, her ribs and spine protrude from under her skin. Two to three pound lighter! She was the walking dead!! As seen in the first and second picture daisy has an extremely bad eye infection (I am unsure if you can see, but the whites of her eyes are blood red). She also suffered from a umbilical cord hernia which went unrepaired for 10 months to a 1&1/2 years depending on her true age.

Update: Eckhart, owener of Almost Heaven Dog Kennel "was charged [October 2nd] with animal cruelty and his state kennel license [has been] revoked... which means he can no longer keep more than 25 dogs on his property" Eckhart is scheduled for a hearing on the charges Oct. 17 . Since "On Aug. 7, less than two months before the raid, two other wardens, a supervisor and the bureau supervisor issued a clean inspection report to Almost Heaven." "The state dog warden in charge of the counties where [Almost Heaven, another] large kennel raid and a mass shooting occurred in the last three months has been transferred from the Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement. Richard Martrich, dog warden supervisor for the southeast region, has been named regional supervisor in the Bureau of Weights and Measures, also in the Department of Agriculture."
